Room service was really handy. If you want to explore intramuros, choose this place. The nearby restaurant, Tropical Hut, was as close as 600 feet from the motel.

I felt it was excellent value for money, the staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and well kept! When I went elsewhere for a couple of days they allowed me to check out and held onto my suitcase without charging me for the room or for sotrage!
I did get moved around rooms quite a few times but this didnt take away from the overall experience! :)

The location was important, the low cost but nice rooms was also a consideration. The West Wing had very nice new rooms. The main building had somewhat aging facilities but still well maintained.

We stayed here coz its my gf birthday, i made a little surprise that day.the room is very clean. they have separate rooms for smokers which sounds really pleasing coz we dont want to stay in room that smells cigar smoke. the comfort room is also very clean especially the bathtub. The room is very spacious and the aircon is very cool.
the only downside is that we were pestered by two Aedes aegypti mosquitoes..yes dengue mosquito. Good thing that our blanket is white and we caught them off guard. Hopefully next time there'll be no mosquitoes. The remote control of TV has a slight defect, May be next time they would want to inspect it as well. Generally, inspite of these...everything is great! thats why i think they call the hotel Great Eastern! looking forward for our next stay...my girlfriend said she likes it there.

The hotel is located in a central spot, amidst a grey looking district, yet very accessible. the receiving area is neat and welcoming. Our room was well, maintained with a cozy atmosphere. the bathroom was spotless and well, equipped. the service provided by the staff was top, notch, and breakfast was delicious. the high, rise structure allowed us to enjoy a great view of the city, which was breathtaking.
The quality of the curtains which were not up to the mark compared to the rest of the facilities and appeared to be in need of replacement soon.
